Mpigi District, Uganda – May 12, 2025, Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd proudly announces the official launch of MetrazinGold, a next-generation herbicide formulated with a combination of 2 active ingredients plus a safener, offering Ugandan farmers a powerful new tool in the management of weeds in Maize fields. The launch took place today at one of Bukoola’s advanced trial sites in Mpigi District, attended by farmers, media partners, and the company’s executive team.
MetrazinGold is an upgrade from the company’s earlier product, Metrazin, delivering a broader spectrum of control and longer residual activity. Designed for post-emergence weed control in maize, the new formulation provides effective suppression of both grass and broadleaf weeds, significantly improving crop health and yield.
“Our trials across multiple regions have demonstrated that MetrazinGold provides superior and consistent weed control, even in challenging conditions,” said Mr. Seruwo Solomon, Marketing and Business Development Manager. “This product brings efficiency, ease of use, and reduced need for multiple sprays, translating into higher profitability for farmers.”
